The Allen-Bradley 150-F317NCR is an open-type, non-combination SMC Flex smart motor controller that has a controller rating of 317 A and 250 HP at an input of 460V AC, a three-phase input line voltage of 200 to 575V AC at 50 and 60 Hz, and a control voltage of 24V AC/DC. When it has a 500/575V AC rated voltage, this controller has a 106 to 317 motor current, 200 maximum kW output at 50 Hz, and 300 maximum HP output at 60 Hz. For a fan operation, it requires a single-phase power supply that has 120 or 240V AC.

 

The built-in features of the controller include 4 auxiliary contacts which are programmable, 1 DPI port, 1 keypad input placed on the front of the controller, a backlit LCD, and LED status indicators. When using the 150-F317NCR controller, its ideal conditions are as follows: a 2000 m operating altitude at maximum, with -5 to 50 °C or 23 to 122 °F operating ambient temperature ranges, and with -20 to 75 °C or 4 to 167 °F non-operating ambient temperature ranges.

Operators can use the 150-F317NCR controller with Wye-delta motors, six-lead motors, and standard squirrel-cage induction motors and it comes numerous starting and stopping modes. These modes are the full voltage start, current limit start, soft stop, dual ramp start, soft start, linear speed acceleration, and the preset slow speed. The faults detectable by the 150-F317NCR controller are undervoltage, excessive starts per hour, voltage unbalance, overvoltage, communication fault, jam, power loss, phase reversal, stall, underload, controller temp, line fault, overload, and open gate.
