The Allen-Bradley 150-F43FAD is primarily a solid-state motor controller which falls under the IP65 (model 4/12) enclosure, 30 HP at 460V AC controller rating, 43 A. The drive also has 3-phase, 230V AC and 50 and 60 input line voltage. The drive can be used to run standard three-phase squirrel cage induction motors and Wye-Delta motors. This type of soft starter encompasses both non-combination and combination models. The 150-F43FAD module is engineered with seven different start modes that the users can regulate to find the best functionality.

The 150-F43FAD comes with an LCD programmable keyboard, which makes it easy to use in any industrial setting. The module also features built-in electronic motor overload protection and the SCR/Run Bypass feature. This controller is enabled to offer an effective undervoltage protection which halts motor operations in case of a drop in the incoming voltage. During the programmed delay time, the line voltage must be kept at an undervoltage trip level.  The thermal memory is also included in the drive to help regulate the motor operating temperature.

The 150-F43FAD has impressive features like the keypad programming which is accomplished through the five-button keyboard on the front side of the SMC Flex controller. The five buttons also comprise the up and down arrows for the smooth operation of the drive. The operators are only required to enter the accurate sequence of the keyboard for the programming of the SMC Flex controller. This drive can contain a maximum of two inputs and a maximum of four outputs which are all controlled by the communication network.
