The Allen-Bradley 150-F480NBD is an SMC Flex Smart Motor Controller. This motor controller is a solid-state device with a built-in microprocessor and fully configurable parameters to allow this controller to efficiently control an AC motor through the controller’s embedded parameters.

The 150-F480NBD efficiently operates a motor via Soft Start, Full Voltage Start, Smart Motor Braking, Current Limit Start, Dual Ramp Start, Accu-Stop, Selectable Kickstart, Pump Start, Slow Speed with Braking, Coast-to-rest, Preset Slow Speed, Linear Speed Acceleration (Tachometer required), Soft Stop and Pump Stop. These available operational modes cover motor starting, stopping even idle operational states. It effectively protects the motor from improper operation as well as reduce energy consumption by eliminating unnecessary shift in the motor’s operational state.

The 150-F480NBD is operated by providing an supply voltage of 200-460V AC, 3-Phase, with frequency of 50 and 60 Hz while the device’ control voltage is 100-240V AC (5…480 A units). It delivers a maximum continuous output current of 480 Amperes and output power of 400 HP at 460VAC voltage input.

This drive controller supports installation of accessory devices such as Human Interface Module (HIM) with variations of a Hand-Held HIM or Door mounted HIM. Communication modules may also be installed to allow the drive exchange data via an existing communication network. Supported communication networks are DF1, Profibus DP, ControlNet, Interbus, MODBUS TCP, DeviceNet, Etehrnet I/P, HVAC communication adapter and ControlNet Fiber media adapter. This controller may also be configured using a variety of application software such as Connected Components Workbench (CCW), DriveExecutive and DriveTools SP.
