The Allen-Bradley 150-F60FHD SMC-Flex Smart Motor Controller is a solid-state, intelligent motor controller, in the SMC-Flex Controller series, designed for a microprocessor-controlled start for 3-phase induction motors. The 150-F60FHD is a NEMA 4/12 enclosed controller, designed for use with line connector motors, and it features inbuilt protective and diagnostic functions, and it has an integral DPI communication port, which allows for connection to HIM modules. The controller’s operating current is 60A, with an output power of 40HP at 460V AC, and its input line voltage range is 200 to 208V AC (3-phase) at 50/60Hz. It has an acceptable input range of -15% to +10%, and its power circuit has an IEC-rated insulation voltage of 500V. The 150-F60FHD offers a power circuit that has 6000V impulse voltage and 2,200V dielectric withstand, and it has a peak inverse voltage of up to 1400V. The 150-F60FHD has 4 programmable auxiliary outputs with electromagnetic relay control (NO/NC), configured for normal/up-to-speed/fault/alarm/network (NO/NC), or external bypass, and it comes with factory-installed 20VA heatsink fan on the rear side of its NEMA 4/12 enclosure, used for engine cooling. It has 7 digitally-controlled operational modes (Soft Start, Current Limit Start, Dual Ramp, Full Voltage, Linear Speed Acceleration, Pre-set Slow Speed, and Soft Stop), and it provides Electronic Motor Overload Protection, achieved through the i2 t Algorithm. It also features additional protections like stall protection, under-load protection, over voltage and under voltage protection, voltage unbalance protection and jam detection, and it has an alarm contact programmed for overload, under-load, under-voltage, overvoltage, unbalance, jam, stall, and ground fault. The 150-F60FHD is configured using PC-based software with parameters downloaded directly via DIP-connected communication modules, and a front panel programming keypad with a multilingual LCD. It has an operational temperature range of 23 to 104 °F at a non-condensing humidity range of 5 to 95% with no condensation, and its storage temperature range is –4 to 167 °F. The 150-F60FHD is rated and tested to withstand 15G of operating shock for 11ms, with a 1G peak operational vibration, and it can be used at a maximum altitude of 2000m without de-rating. It weighs approximately 5.7Kg, with approximate dimensions of 30mm x 38mm x 14mm, and it is cUL-us, CE, CCC, and UL certified.
