The 150-F60NBDD SMC Flex Smart Motor Controller is a soft motor starter form Allen-Bradley that is built to give digitally-controlled starting to 3-phase squirrel-cage induction motors in critical industrial applications. The 150-F60NBDD Controller features a built-in bypass which helps to monitor and reduce the heat that is generated within the motor, and it comes with a built-in LCD screen and flexible integral communication that provides enhanced performance, diagnostics, and protection to the motor. The 150-F60NBDD Controller supports flexible programming via its 3-line and 16-character LCD screen and its 5-button front panel programming keypad. As a standard feature, the 150-F60NBDD Controller comes with a built-in DPI communication capability via a serial interface that supports connection to human-machine interface modules and a variety of Allen-Bradley 20-COMM Communication Modules that include the Allen-Bradey Ethernet, ProfiBUS, Remote I/O, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Interbus, and RS485-DF1 Modules.

The 150-F60NBDD Controller has a standard 3-phase input voltage rating of 460 Volts AC with an operating voltage range of 200 to 460 Volts AC and a total output rating of 40 Horsepower. It has an operating current rating of 60 Amps and a maximum short-circuit rating of 10 Kilo-Amps (with a standard circuit breaker). The 150-F60NBDD Controller has a control circuit with an operating voltage range of 200 to 240 Volts AC, and it has a UL/CSA rated dielectric withstand of 1600 Volts. The 150-F60NBDD Controller offers jam detection, stall protection, underload protection, and voltage unbalance protection as standard built-in protective features, and it also has a built-in metering capability. The 150-F60NBDD Controller has 8 standard operating modes that are the Dual Ramp Start, Soft Start, Soft Stop, Selectable Kickstart, Full Voltage Start, Current Limit Start, Linear Speed Acceleration, and the Preset Slow Speed, and an additional braking control option which provides motor braking for applications that require the motor to stop faster than the coast to rest stopping mode allows.
