The Allen-Bradley 150-F780NBE is a solid-state controller with a circuit breaker and an IP65 (Type 4/12) enclosure. The work of this controller is to reduce the starting torque surge which is often experienced in standard across-the-line starting. The 150-F780NBE comes with the soft start feature that minimizes the starting torque flow by offering smooth and stepless motor acceleration and at the same time reduces the damage to the gears, the couplings, and the belts. The 150-F780NBE also has the soft stop feature which extends the stopping time to minimize the chances of the load shifting or spilling as the machine stops. The soft start feature also has a selectable kickstart alternative that provides an additional torque pulse that is best used when overcoming stalling during loads with high friction.

The 150-F780NBE is designed for low-induction motors and it will offer faster and simpler starts and reduced equipment downtime from vibration difficulties. Its dual ramp start feature is for applications which have varying loads, 2-speed requirements, and reversing. The controller comes with a current limit start feature which is used for all applications that need the in-rush current to be limited during the machine’s acceleration. The 150-F780NBE has a controller rating of 25 A and 15 HP at 460V AC and a rated voltage of 400/460V AC. It has an input voltage of 400-460V AC, 3-phase, at 50 and 60 Hz and a control voltage of 120V AC. The 150-F780NBE also has the preset slow speed feature which supplies 2 jog speeds that enable easy aligning and setting-up procedures. These speeds come in both forward and reverse routes with no reversing contactor.
