The Allen-Bradley 150-F85NBDB SMC Flex controller is a smart digital motor controller from the SMC Low-Voltage Soft Starter series that is designed to provide digitally-controlled starting for three-phase induction motors. The SMC Flex controllers like the 150-F85NBDB controller offer flexible parameter programming, control, diagnostics, and troubleshooting via a 3-line and 16-character LCD and a front-panel programming keypad with 5 buttons. The 150-FPP108B controller also offers the Linear Speed Acceleration, Soft Start, Full Voltage Start, Current Limit, Selectable Kickstart, Dual Ramp Start, Soft Stop, and Preset Slow Speed standard operating modes and an optional pump control mode which is useful in a centrifugal pump application. It offers flexible parameter programming, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and control via the LCD and 5-button keypad and it comes with 4 programmable auxiliary contacts that can be programmed for normal, up-to-speed, fault, alarm, network (N.O. and N.C.), or external bypass (N.O. only) operation.

The 150-F85NBDB controller has a 3-phase voltage rating of 460 Volts AC (at 50 to 60 Hertz) with an acceptable operating voltage range of 200 to 460 Volts AC, and a total output power rating of 60 Horsepower. It has an operating current rating of 85 Amps and a maximum short-circuit rating of 10 Kilo-Amps. the 150-F85NBDB controller has a control circuit rating of 200 to 240 Volts AC and a UL rated dielectric withstand rating of 1600 Volts. It offers overload protection, underload protection, stall protection, and jam detection as built-in protective features, and it comes with built-in DPI communication capabilities (include a serial interface) which supports connection to the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 20 HMI modules and communication modules.
