The 150-FPP1250Z SMC Flex Power Pole is a single-phase power pole for the Allen-Bradley SMC Flex smart motor controllers that has been built to provide microprocessor-controlled starting for 3-phase induction motors. The 150-FPP1250Z Power Pole belongs to the B Series of the SMC accessories product line with 1250 Amps of carrying current rating and 230 to 690 Volts AC voltage ratings. The 150-FPP1250Z Power Pole is also compatible with SMC Flex controllers with 4 to 480 Amps current ratings which accept 100 to 240 Volts AC or 24 Volts AC/DC control power. The SMC Flex controllers feature built-in bypasses, built-in protection (including over-voltage, under load, jam detection, stall, under-voltage, voltage unbalance, and electronic motor overload protection), and flexible communication and programming. SMC Flex controllers offer 8 operation modes as standard and additional smart motor braking control and pump control as factory-installed options.

The 150-FPP1250Z Power Pole can be used as a replacement part for wiring single-phase applications and it comes in an assembly package comprising cables to connect the power pole to the control module, 2 fastening screws, and the instruction sheet that is needed to successfully install the power pole. The SMC Flex controllers have integral DPI communication capability via a serial interface which provides a connection to compatible human-machine interface modules and a wide range of other communication modules. Software-programmed parameter values can also be downloaded easily to the controller by using the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 20 communication modules via the DPI interface. The SMC Flex controllers support flexing programming via the programming keypad and LCD screen, and they also have 4 fully programmable auxiliary contacts for additional control.
