The Allen-Bradley 40888-313-51 Bulletin 150 SMC Plus Series standard control module is a replacement standard control module for the Bulletin 150 SMC Plus smart motor starters. The Bulletin 150 SMC Plus starters are a group of microprocessor-controlled soft starters designed to control and maximize the efficiency of a motor’s starting and stopping methods. Unlike most conventional soft starters, the SMC Plus starters incorporate 6 SCRs or Silicon-Controlled Rectifiers (2 on each input phase) to control and vary the motor torque voltage reliably when the motor is starting, running, or stopping. The 40888-313-51 standard control module is shipped in a package consisting of one 40888-313-51 standard control module with an access door, a front cover, and some instruction sheets. The 40888-313-51 standard control module is designed for handling all the SMC Plus controller ratings, and it comes with an internal microprocessor board that provides outstanding and reliable control for motors with a rating from 0.3 Horsepower to 1000 Horsepower.
