The 40888-899-01 smart motor controller is compatible with all the SMC Plus controller ratings and it also supports all the line voltage ratings. The Allen-Bradley 40888-899-01 control module offers intelligent microprocessor control for motors rated 1.0 Amp through 1000 Amps and 200 to 480 Volts AC or 200 to 600 Volts AC ratings. It also comes with a compact design with relatively few parts, making it a cost-effective control solution for a wide range of applications. The 40888-899-01 smart motor controller, like every SMC Plus controller, features factory calibration that requires no additional calibration, and it offers 3 standard starting modes (the soft start, current limit start, and the full voltage start) to meet application needs.

The 40888-899-01 standard control module offers built-in diagnostics and protection features, including the energy saver feature that is used in applications where the motor is lightly loaded or unloaded for long periods. The module also comes with the start fault detection, stall protection, over-temperature protection, line fault protection, DV/DT protection via the RC snubber network”, and the transient protection feature that is available via Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs). The 40888-899-01 control module is designed to accept 100 to 240 Volts AC (-15% to +10%) single-phase control power input at 50/60 Hertz, and a power input range of 200 to 480 Volts AC (3-phase) or 200 to 600 Volts AC (3-phase) input at 50/60 Hertz.
