The Allen-Bradley 100-C90DJ400 Contactor is a 4-pole and low-power DC-controlled contactor designed to control motors and other loads. This contactor belongs to the Bulletin 100-C contactor family. The Bulletin 100-C contactors offer more switching power and occupy less panel space than conventional switching devices. They are designed for flexibility with outputs ranging from 4.0 to 55 kilowatts (5 to 75 Horsepower). The 100-C90DJ400 Contactor comes with a 24 Volts DC control coil that has a load side terminal. Standard features for this contactor include a DC operating mechanism, a reversible coil load side terminal, and 4 auxiliary Normally Open (NO) contacts with spring-clamp terminals. Each contact has 2 separate power connections for ease of wiring and reliability. The 100-C90DJ400 Contactor also supports panel-mounting or 35-millimeter DIN Rail mounting, and its components are made of environmentally friendly materials.
The 100-C90DJ400 Contactor comes with built-in safety and protective features that offer significant user protection and functional security. These protective features include secure isolation of all the electrical circuits within the device, positively guided contacts, a factory-seal covering to prevent unauthorized manual operation, a fixed coupling for the contactors and auxiliary contact block, protection against accidental actuation, and DIN Rail-compatible auxiliary contacts. The 100-C90DJ400 Contactor can be used with the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 193 overload relay to provide a flexible and expanded starter system. The 100-C90DJ400 Contactor has a switching power rating of 4 kilowatts at 690 Volts AC and a nominal current rating of 9 Amps (AC-3). The 100-C90DJ400 Contactor has an IEC rated insulated voltage rating of 690 Volts AC and a rated impulse voltage of 8.0 Kilovolts.
