The 100S-D420ED22C contactor is a 3-pole Bulletin 100S-D safety contactor from Allen-Bradley. The Bulletin 100S-D contactors include a mirror contact safety design to prevent normally closed contacts from changing their state in the event of a power contact weld. This feature leads to reliable indications about the status of the main power poles on the contactors. The Bulletin 100S-D safety contactors were designed by Allen-Bradley to satisfy the requirements of industrial applications requiring the monitoring and feedback of the isolating switchgear used in hazardous motion loads. Allen-Bradley also provides a wide range of IEC contactors for a wide range of industrial applications. These are available in compact and large sizes and a wide range of current ratings. The operating current rating of the 100S-D420ED22C contactor depends on ambient temperature: it is 420 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius and 540 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius.

The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100S-D 100S-D420ED22C contactor features an electronic coil which is rated for 110 to 130 Volts AC. There are 4 auxiliary contacts that are also available on the 100S-D420ED22C contactor. These include 2 of the normally open type and 2 of the normally closed type. A PLC interface is also available on the contactor.  The 3-phase motors that are the switching type can be controlled by the 100S-D420ED22C contactor.
