The Allen-Bradley 1100-AOD93 contactor is a vacuum type of contactor, and it belongs to the Bulletin 1100 vacuum contactor product series. The 1100-AOD93 contactor is also a 3-phase type of vacuum contactor, and it operates on 1500 Volts of maximum rated voltage. It features a current rating of 80 Amps at maximum, and an operating voltage range of 100 to 127 Volts with 50 to 60 Hertz of operating frequency. The Bulletin 1100 contactors like the Allen-Bradley 1100-AOD93 Vacuum Contactor are specially engineered and they are best suited for use in applications with a maximum voltage rating of 1500 Volts. When the users add an optional insulating barrier to the contactor for additional protection, the non-reversing contactors that have currents ratings of 50 Amps or more can be used with a maximum voltage of 3300 Volts instead of 1500 Volts.

The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1100 vacuum contactors like the Allen-Bradley 1100-AOD93 vacuum contactor are especially suitable for use in pumping, mining, chemical processing, conveyors, petroleum, and hoists applications, as well as other applications that make use of voltages levels above 600 Volts. The Bulletin 1100 contactors uses vacuum bottles for enclosing the power switching contacts that are installed inside of the contactor. Using this vacuum bottle technology leads to an effective arc which extinguishes at 600 Volts and above while also allowing the contactor to be as compact, durable, and long-lasting as possible. The Allen-Bradley 1100-AOD93 vacuum contactor and the other Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1100 vacuum contactors have been certified by the UL and CSA industrial standards.
