The 1100-COD93 contactor is a 3-phase vacuum contactor that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as a member of the Bulletin 1100 product line. It features a standard maximum voltage rating of 1500 Volts, a continuous current rating of 450 Amps, and a coil voltage range of 100 to 127 Volts at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. The Bulletin 1100 vacuum contactors such as the Allen-Bradley 1100-COD93 vacuum contactor have the same general specifications including a standard maximum voltage rating of 1500 Volts AC, and an enhanced maximum voltage rating of 3300 Volts AC with an insulating barrier. The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1100 contactor product line comprises devices that are designed to be used with the optional insulating barrier and the increased voltage level that the barrier allows are the non-reversing vacuum contactors with current ratings of 450, 350, 180, and 200 Amps.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1100-COD93 3-phase vacuum contactor and all of the Bulletin 1100 vacuum contactors are especially suitable for use in applications such as pumping applications, mining applications, and other industrial applications that take place in harsh and heavily polluted environments and that often use voltage levels above 600 Volts. Additionally, the Bulletin 1100 vacuum contactors are called “vacuum contactors” because they utilize vacuum bottles which house the power switching contacts that are inside the contactors. When this vacuum technology is used, it supports effective arc extinguishing at 600 Volts and above in a system, and it also enhances the durable and compact design for the vacuum contactors like the 1100-COD93 vacuum contactor.
