The Allen-Bradley 1365-TAF drive is a controller that is used to convert single-phase AC power to adjustable DC power. This controller is used for either the torque or speed control of DC motors with a rating of 0.25 to 2 Horsepower, and that includes wound field or permanent DC motors with compatible armature and field voltage ratings. The Allen-Bradley 1365-TAF drive is a controller that comes in a wide variety of application-specific configurations, which can include either a NEMA Type 4/12 enclosure or an open chassis design. The NEMA Type 4/12 enclosure has been specifically designed for indoor use, and to offer protection against splashing water, high levels of external condensation, and water seepage. Also, there are conduit hubs that allow for a water-resistant connection at the conduit entrance. The controller also has the means to connect these hubs externally to the cavity of the controller.
The Allen-Bradley 1365-TAF controller has passed all the UL hose-down tests that verify the washdown integrity of the Allen-Bradley 1365-TAF controller. During the installation, always make sure that the ambient temperature of the controller is between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius for the enclosed controller or between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius for the open chassis controller. The control/signal and power wiring should be routed through different conduit openings that are provided at the bottom of the enclosed Allen-Bradley 1365-TAF controller. There should not be any live connections in the area above the controller to prevent accidental contact. The controller must be mounted in an upright position.
