1409-FOCD

The 1409-FOCD module is a machine protection device made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This arcing ground fault relay module belongs to the Class II and Bulletin 1409 categories, and it features high current inhibit feature that can be of vital importance for some applications. The ground fault detection systems of this type are combined with motor starters/contactors in order to prevent low-level ground faults and this module uses high-current limit circuits for different purposes. The 1409-FOCD arcing ground fault relay module protects the equipment that it is attached to and it operates with a ground fault sensor to form a complete fault detection system.

The module has a full load current rating of 192 Amps along with a high current limit of 864 to 1094 Amps. The 1409-FOCD module features a NEMA starter size 5 and a 50-millisecond nominal response time. The response time does not include the controller drop-out time. The module also has a power input rating of 3 Volt-Amps and a supply voltage of 120 Volts AC. The input frequency rating is 60 Hertz standard. Also, the module has an output contact rating of 30 Amps (make) and 3 Amps (break). In addition to that, the module has a continuous carrying current of 5 Amps at 120 Volts. The allowed operating temperature is 0 to 65 degrees Celsius (32 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit).
