The 140M-I8P-D10-M Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB) is a high performance, high breaking, and compact breaker from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It has a Size I frame, 3 poles, and a 205 Amps frame current rating. The rated operational voltage of the circuit breaker is 600 Volts AC and the breaker's current rating is 100 Amps. This MPCB provides protection with an adjustable magnetic trip setting. It weighs about 4.5 pounds. The circuit breaker provides magnetic protection by producing a strong magnetic field when there is a faulty current. The 140M-I8P-D10-M Motor Protection Circuit Breaker has a customizable trip unit to enhance machine protection. This circuit breaker, with its improved current limiting and breaking capacity, is UL/CSA listed as a self-protected motor protection circuit breaker.

The 140M-I8P-D10-M Motor Protection Circuit Breaker is designed to handle up to 60 Hertz of operational frequency. It has motor protection characteristics such as motor overload protection, isolator properties, and short circuit protection. Its disconnect function provides the approved isolation of the motor circuit and its manual motor controlling functionality turns the individual motor circuit on and off. This circuit breaker comes with accessories such as auxiliary contacts and a flex cable operator device. This 140M-I8P-D10-M MPCB provides effective current limiting and extremely fast disconnection time for an excellent short circuit breaking capacity. This circuit breaker can be used in multi-motor installations where the drive cannot disconnect one or more of its motors for maintenance purposes. The line side breaker must be selected according to the maximum input current rating of the drive. In order to reduce the cable length between the motor and the MPCB for the sake of efficiency, install the circuit breaker as close to the motor as possible.
