The Allen-Bradley 1410-EOB50 heater is a solid-state motor winding heater. Adjustments are not required on the 1410-EOB50 heater to make it work. It belongs to the Bulletin 1410 series of motor protection devices. The 1410-EOB50 heater is designed for use with three-phase AC motors to protect them against the damage which is caused by the build-up of condensation on motor windings in environments with high levels of humidity. The 1410-EOB50 heater should not be used to dry wet/damp motors. The 1410-EOB50 heater can be used with three-phase AC squirrel–cage motors which are controlled by automatic full-voltage starters. The ambient operating temperature range for the 1410-EOB50 heater is 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Unused 1410-EOB50 heaters should be kept in environments where the ambient temperature is between -13 and 184 degrees Fahrenheit.  The approximate power delivered to the motor by the 1410-EOB50 heater is 3 Watts.

The 1410-EOB50 heater can be used with motors rated for 25 to 100 Horsepower of output. The voltage rating for the 1410-EOB50 heater is 460 Volts AC. The line frequency rating is 60 Hertz. The 1410-EOB50 heater applies voltage to the motor winding. This winding voltage varies by ±5% for the line voltage variations of +10% to -15%. A metal oxide varistor on the 1410-EOB50 heater protects motors against voltage surges. An RC snubber circuit is also provided to limit the rate of the change of voltages on the circuit. The 1410-EOB50 heater is certified by the CSA and UL standards and it is approved by the CSA and UL 508 standards. The true RMS output current is 15% of the full load current.
