The 1494D-N31 Circuit Breaker Operator Mechanism is a fixed depth flange mounted circuit breaker slide/bail mechanism that is made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is designed to function with commonly used molded case circuit breakers. The 1494D-N31 Circuit Breaker Mechanism can be used with frame LD, HLD, LDC, LA, HLA, LC, and HLC Cutler-Hammer Circuit Breakers which have 600 Amps frame current ratings. Some of the accessories that come with this mechanism include the lug and ground connector kit, phase barrier kit, fuse clips, and protective fuse covers. With minimum maintenance, the slide/bail mechanism offers distinct advantages that lead to reduced inventory and reduced downtime and operational costs.

The 1494D-N31 Fixed Depth Flange Mounted Circuit Breaker Slide/Bail Mechanism is designed to meet the required flexibility and high-performance demands of the panel disconnect applications. Its ambient temperature range is -20 to 40 degrees Celsius. The 1494D-N31 Mechanism is designed for door mounted fixed depth applications. It comes with additional barriers that help prevent accidental contact with its live parts. It has a front-accessible slide/bail mechanism that ensures easy access to the mechanism and wiring. In order to obtain a fully functional device, the 1494D-N31 Slide/Bail Mechanism must be connected with a mounting mechanism. This mechanism can be used in control panels. Make sure to install the circuit breaker operator mechanism before installing the circuit breaker. During installation, place the operating mechanism into the enclosure with the operating handle in the “Off” position. After installation, ensure the proper mechanical and electrical operation of the operator mechanism by moving the handle from “On” to “Off” and then from “Off” to “On.”
