The Allen-Bradley 1494G-CF3J6-988 isolator is a Class J fuse isolator that is used in the electrical industry to isolate and de-energize equipment when necessary. This switch can stop the current flow at high levels, enabling the circuit breakers and transmission lines to be inactive for specific periods. Isolators are generally used when this equipment is going through maintenance and when it needs to be shut down completely and when having one or more components energized would be dangerous. The Allen-Bradley 1494G-CF3J6-988 Class J fuse isolator can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications. It comes with a water-tight and dust-tight enclosure that has been designed to be corrosion-resistant and durable. The switch mechanism of this isolator and its handle are always connected even when the enclosure door is open. As an additional feature, the switch comes with one N.O. auxiliary disconnect contact.

The Allen-Bradley 1494G-CF3J6-988 Class J fuse isolator operates with a three-phase AC voltage of 600 Volts AC and a DC voltage of 250 Volts DC. It has a continuous current rating of 60 Amps and a Horsepower rating of 15 to 60 Horsepower during different voltage levels. When it comes to safety mechanisms, the Allen-Bradley 1494G-CF3J6-988 Class J fuse isolator includes fully-exposed switchblades and a lockable handle. According to the continuous current rating, the terminal screws for the breaker are 1/4 inches and 28 screw-lug screws manufactured in copper. Contacts are also manufactured in copper and the wiring used to attach this isolator needs to be intended for operations at temperatures above 75 degrees Celsius to avoid problems during operation.
