The 1494V-M40 variable depth and flange operated circuit breaker kit has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This circuit breaker kit is fully compatible with all of the Allen-Bradley 140M-I circuit breakers and with all of the Eaton Cutler-Hammer breakers with frame sizes of EHD, FD, FDB, FDC, HFD, and HMCP. This kit supports circuit breakers with different mechanisms such as molded-case circuit breakers with adjustable thermal and fixed magnetic mechanisms and fixed thermal and adjustable magnetic mechanisms. The Allen-Bradley 1494V-M40 variable depth and flange operated circuit breaker kit needs to be adjusted in order to be installed in a proper enclosure that provides the protection that is required for all of its parts. This enclosure must have a depth of at least 24 inches.

The environmental conditions around the breaker kit need to be considered when installing the Allen-Bradley 1494V-M40 variable depth and flange operated circuit breaker kit to avoid damages that may be caused by extreme conditions. This kit is suitable to be used with three-pole breakers with current ratings of 150 Amps. It can be used as a replacement part or to complete a whole circuit breaker. Some additional requirements to use the Allen-Bradley 1494V-M40 variable depth and flange operated circuit breaker kit safely are a connecting rod and a handle to operate the breaker. The connecting rod can have a standard or extended length. This kit can be used with either a right-hand or a left-hand flange breaker. Circuit breakers are used to protect different equipment and circuits from excessive or abnormal currents such as short-circuit currents. The use of breakers is widely recommended to ensure safe operations and to help to extend the life of the equipment.
