The 1494V-RA2 connecting rod kit is an extended connecting rod kit that has been designed by Allen-Bradley as a replacement part for the original connecting rod that comes with each disconnect switch from the Allen-Bradley 1494V series of variable depth disconnect switches. These switches are widely used in different industries, but mostly in electrical applications like isolators for circuit breakers, transmission lines, and different equipment that needs to be de-energized so that different kinds of operations, like maintenance and replacement operations can be performed without causing any harm to any equipment and so the technicians will be safe. The Allen-Bradley 1494V-RA2 extended connecting rod kit helps connect the switch with different equipment and it enables the action of the isolating circuits to be completed. The switch is composed of a connecting rod and an operating handle. Without these two parts, the switch is unable to operate properly since it cannot be connected without them.

The Allen-Bradley 1494V-RA2 extended connecting rod kit includes two roas and it requires an enclosure depth of 232 to 585 millimeters for proper installation. This depth is measured from the top of the flange to the surface of the disconnect mechanism.
