The 1497-M-M4-0-N control circuit transformer is an electrical device that is made to control input voltage and power the coils of electromagnetic devices, relays, and hydraulic systems. The 1497-M-M4-0-N transformer is a 2 KVA unit manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It runs with a primary voltage range of 380 to 415 Volts AC and a secondary voltage range of 115 to 230 Volts AC. The transformer is built with an open enclosure and can be mounted on to factory floor using bolt screws on the back side. No fuse block is present in this transformer variant. The frequency of the transformer runs between 50 and 60 Hertz depending upon the load. The 1497-M-M4-0-N transformer is a single-phase device with encapsulated epoxy. It is equipped with EN 60-529 rated finger-safe terminals. The transformer meets the EN, C22.2 and the UL 506 compliance standards. It is also certified with the cULus and CE mark standards.
The main function of the 1497-M-M4-0-N control transformer is to offer stable voltage in a short overload time that is known as inrush voltage. It establishes a pilot voltage which is used by the control elements of the transformer like relays and coils which in turn govern the operation of different electrical motors. The 1497-M-M4-0-N transformer comes with three different characteristics which play a major role in selecting control transformers. It includes the Sealed VA, Inrush VA, and the Inrush load power factor. The 1497-M-M4-0-N transformer provides Class 130 insulation for a temperature rise between 55 and 80 degrees Celsius. Optional fusing is also supported by the transformer. The installation area should be free from traces of electromagnetic noise and discharge.
