The 1718-A10 chassis from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation is a 1718 Ex I/O series chassis. This chassis is designed to host I/O modules, power supplies, and adapter modules in a 1718 remote I/O system. The 1718-A10 chassis has fixed slots in it that are reserved specifically for the power supplies and the adapter modules, while the slots for the I/O modules all have equal status and the I/O modules can be installed in any order as required for a specific application. The 1718-A10 chassis comes with 10 slots. It supports redundancy systems that include 2 power supplies. If it is installed in the right kind of enclosure, the 1718-A10 chassis can be used in Zone 1 environments.
