The 1718-CF4H I/O module from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation is a configurable analog universal input and output module from the Allen-Bradley 1718 Ex I/O series. It comes with 4 I/O channels that can all be configured to operate in a variety of ways. These channels can operate as analog inputs that feed 2-wire transmitters, or as analog outputs that can drive proportional values, I/P converter devices, or local indicators, and the intrinsically safe signals are all galvanically isolated from the bus and the power supply in the system. The 1718-CF4H configurable I/O module supports RIUP or removal and insertion under power and it can be used in Zone 1 environments, but it should be installed in a suitable enclosure for protection when it is used in Zone 1 environments.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1718-CF4H configurable I/O module from the 1718 Ex I/O series supports permanent self-monitoring and HART communication through the field bus. It also has a line fault detection feature for protection and 1 LED status indicator for each of its configurable I/O channels. The 1718-CF4H configurable I/O module should be installed in 1 slot of the rack in the system that it is part of. It draws its power from the chassis bus.
