The 1718-IF4HB module is an analog input module from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is manufactured as part of the 1718 Ex I/O series. The 1718-IF4HB input module is a HART analog I/O module with 4 input channels. It can feed 2-wire or 3-wire transmitters. In some applications, the 1718-IF4HB HART analog input module can feed separately powered field devices with active signals and 4-wire transmitters as well. It can handle 2-wire transmitters with or without using HART, but it can only operate with 3-wire and 4-wire transmitters without using HART. This input module has 12-bit resolution. The power consumption rating of the 1718-IF4HB HART analog input module is 3 Watts while the power dissipation rating of this input module is 2 Watts.

The compatible screw terminals are the Allen-Bradley 1719-TB8x2 and 1719-TB8x2F screw terminals and the compatible spring terminal is the Allen-Bradley 1719-TB8Sx2 spring terminal. The 1718-IF4HB HART analog input module allows a Logix controller to be connected to a control system or application process, and the input module receives signals from the system’s process value transmitters and it converts the signals into corresponding measurement values that the Logix controller can use. The supported corresponding measurement values include pressure, temperature, flow, and pH measurement values.
