The 1792D-16BVT0CD module is an ArmorBlock MaXum I/O series module that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The module includes full diagnostic capabilities and it can be accessed through the Y splitter cables. The 1792D-16BVT0CD module is available through the Bulletin 1792D product line and it carries the ArmorBlock MaXum brand name. The module supports DeviceLogix and it has a sealed housing that eliminates the need for a protective enclosure. The module has the ability to provide the information necessary for resolving issues like short circuits or open wires.

The 1792D-16BVT0CD I/O module accepts 3 to 16 inputs per block for PNP or NPN devices with wire or dry contact and 4 to 8 inputs per block for PNP or NPN devices. The inputs have a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and the module serves as a stand-alone unit. All the communication is done through the DeviceNet network. This ArmorBlock MaXum module has maximum on-state voltage for sinking devices rated at 25 Volts DC, along with a minimum voltage of 10 Volts DC. In addition to that, the 1792D-16BVT0CD module has an on-state current of 10 milliAmps (maximum) and 2 milliAmps (minimum). The off-state voltage for sinking devices is 5 Volts DC while the same value for sourcing devices is 25 Volts DC. The off-state current of the module is 1.5 milliAmps. The source current of the sensor is 50 milliAmps per input. The 1792D-16BVT0CD module has a communication rate up to 500 KB per second at 100 meters (330 feet) and an operating temperature range of -25 to 60 degrees Celsius (-13 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit).
