The Allen-Bradley 1792D-16BVT0D is an ArmorBlock MaXum Sixteen (16) input module. This module is a 24VDC Input and Output device with IP67 enclosure. This ArmorBlock module is ideally used for near machine applications. It acts as a Distributed I/O node, updating Input and output device status via DeviceNet network.

The 1792D-16BVT0D has Sixteen (16) inputs per block compatible for use with 3-wire or dry contact PNP or NPN sensors or 8 - 4 wire PNP or NPN devices. Due to the module’s IP67 rating, this module may be directly installed to the machine without the need of enclosure. The input channels has maximum On-state voltage of 25VDC and minimum On-state voltage of 10VDC. It has maximum On-state current of 10 mA and minimum On-state current of 2mA.

The 1792D-16BVT0D has built-in status indicators to aid any user in monitoring and troubleshooting. These status indicators include Bi-color Net/Mod Status with red/green LED; Bi-color Logic Status indicator with red/green LED lights and tri-color Point indicator via yellow/orange/red LED light.

This module supports communication rate of Communication Rate of 125Kbps @ 500 meters (1600 feet) for thick cable and 375 meters for flat media; 250Kbps @ 200 meters (600 feet) for thick cable and 150 meters for media length; 500Kbps @ 100 meters (330 feet) for thick cable and 75 meters for flat media.

This module is built with diagnostic capabilities such as short circuit and open wire detection up to point level. With series B module, local logic control capability has been added.

The 1792D-16BVT0D module is compatible with PLC programmable controllers or the SLC programmable controllers using the DeviceNet scanners. The 1792D-16BVT0D module features the universal sinking or sourcing input modules. The mounting type is specified as on-machine mounting. The 1792D-16BVT0D module should be used in an environment where the ambient storage and operating temperatures are within the specified ranges. The ambient operating temperature range is -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. The ambient storage temperature range is -25 to 80 degrees Celsius. The 1792D-16BVT0D module has a relative humidity ranging 5% to 100%, non-condensing. When installing the 1792D-16BVT0D module, use a cable case, and use electronically protected outputs.
