The 1799-12SPCON connector is a 12-position gold-plated input and output mating connector manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This unit belongs to the 1799 I/O family and it is designed for the 24 Volts DC digital I/O modules. It can be mounted directly inside the machine, within the conveyor rail, or inside of a field-replaceable device. The 1799 modules and components, including the 1799-12SPCON I/O mating connector, come with I/O circuits, DeviceNet I/O adapters, and built-in power supplies. These I/O modules are produced as Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assemblies with the options of hardware that is suitable for the host equipment's requirements. The 1799 I/O modules are suitable for use in applications which are restricted by space, as well as in applications which require highly distributed input and output close to the sensors and actuators in a machine. These units are also well-suited for use with applications that come with their own enclosures.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1799 I/O modules and accessories, including the 1799-12SPCON I/O mating connector, are all well matched and usable with the Allen-Bradley PLCs, SLCs, and SoftLogix programmable controllers via the DeviceNet scanners.
