Allen-Bradley manufactures the 1799 Embedded I/O series 1799-OQ10X board as a 10-point expansion output board which is designed to work only with the 1799ER-IQ10XOQ10 device as an expansion input/output module. This I/O expansion board features 10 output points which are self-protected with 24 Volts DC sinking or sourcing voltage. This unit has 10 sinking or sourcing outputs per block with 0.5 Amps of current along with short circuit protection and a pilot duty feature. The output auxiliary voltage of this expansion board ranges from 10 to 30 Volts DC, and it has an on-state voltage drop of 250 millivolts at maximum. It features an on-state current rating of 0.5 Amps at maximum and an off-state leakage of 20 microamps at maximum. The card current when all outputs are on is 4.0 Amps at maximum while the surge current for 10 milliseconds is repeatable after every 2 seconds with individual outputs rated at 1.0 Amp.

The 1799-OQ10X expansion board has an auxiliary power voltage range from 10 to 30 Volts DC or 24 Volts DC nominal. The auxiliary power current when the outputs are on is 4 Amps at maximum, while the auxiliary power current when the outputs are off is 36 milliamps. The voltage rating of this module is 24 Volts DC at a current of 4 Amps, 30 Volts DC at a current of 0.5 Amps and 1 Amp of surge current. The approximate dimensions of the 1799-OQ10X I/O expansion board are 2.64 x 5.97 x 0.71 inches, and weighs approximately 0.10 kilograms. It has an open style enclosure and a pilot duty rating of NEMA DC-14. The isolation voltage of this unit is 50 Volts (continuous), with the basic insulation type, but there is no isolation between the individual outputs. The isolation from the outputs to the I/O auxiliary power is tested at 750 Volts DC for 60 seconds.
