The 1799-ZCIOB card is a Zone Control I/O card by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It belongs to the 1799 Embedded I/O modules series and it is a 20-point I/O card that is designed to communicate through the DeviceNet network. These 1799 Embedded I/O cards are ideal for use in material handling applications as well as other applications. These cards also feature a zone control capability that allows the cards to communicate directly with 1 another without the users having to hardwire them together or having to use a scanner. These cards, including the 1799-ZCIOB Zone Control I/O card, feature 10 input points and 10 output points. The inputs are rated at 24 Volts DC for sourcing or sinking operation. On the other hand, the outputs are self-protected with a 24 Volts DC voltage rating for sourcing outputs with the 1799-ZCIOB and 1799-D10U10BZC modules or sinking outputs with the 1799-ZCIOV and 1799-D10U10VZC modules.

The Allen-Bradley 1799-ZCIOB Zone Control I/O card has a maximum of 10 sinking or sourcing inputs per block that are Type 1 + compatible. The off-state voltage of this unit is 5 Volts DC, while the current rating is 1.5 milliamps. It has an on-state voltage rating of 10 to 30 Volts DC, and a current rating of 2 to 11 milliamps. The 1799-ZCIOB Zone Control I/O card comes with a maximum of 10 sinking or sourcing outputs per block, with a 0.5-Amp short-circuit protection and pilot duty rating. The output auxiliary voltage ranges from 10 to 30 Volts, while the on-state voltage drop is 250 millivolts.
