The 190-CPS40Z starter is an Allen-Bradley Bulletin 190 coordinated protected starter built without a trip unit which is rated for 24 Volts DC. An external trip unit needs to be added to the 190-CPS40Z starter to make a complete protected starter unit. Other voltage ratings are available for the Bulletin 190 protected starters, including 110 to 120 Volts AC, 220 to 240 Volts AC, 415 to 440 Volts AC, and 600 Volts AC. The trip units which can be added to the 190-CPS40Z starter include the Allen-Bradley 190-P006, 190-P010, 190-P016, 190-P024, 190-P040, 190-P060, 190-P100, 190-P160, 190-P250, 190-P320, and 190-P400 trip units. All these trip units support adjustable thermal land magnetic trip thresholds. The 190-P400 trip unit supports a magnetic trip range of 350 Amps to 500 Amps and thermal trip range of 32 Amps to 42 Amps. The 190-P006 trip unit supports 0.4 Amps to 0.6 Amps of thermal trip range and 5 Amps to 8 Amps of magnetic trip range.
The working temperature range for the 190-CPS40Z starter is from -13 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit when the unit is installed inside an enclosure. When the 190-CPS40Z starter is installed without an enclosure, the working temperature range is from -13 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. When the 190-CPS40Z starter is being stored or when it is being transported, the ambient temperature should be maintained between -13 and 158 degrees Fahrenheit. The approximate shipping weight of the 190-CPS40Z starter is 0.218 kilograms.
