The Allen-Bradley 191E-AND3-CB10C-R starter is a combination reversing ECO starter. This reversing ECO starter can be used for different group motor applications. The Allen-Bradley 191E-AND3-CB10C-R combination reversing ECO starter can also be used as a stand-alone product without any extra short-circuit protection in the motor-branch circuits. The reversing ECO starter uses the 140M-C/D motor protection circuit breakers. Most of these motor protection circuit breakers are UL listed as manual Type-E devices, and this category is a category of self-protected combination motor controllers. Even though this starter is given several tests, one of the most important tests that it has to pass is to accomplish 6,000 electrical operations plus an extra 4,000 mechanical operations after a short-circuit. The Allen-Bradley 191E-AND3-CB10C-R combination reversing ECO starter consists of a solid-state or magnetic motor controller like an SMC or 100-C contactor and a manual self-protected combination motor controller (Type-E).

A combination of a 100-C contactor and a 140-M manual self-protected COMB motor controller can also be categorized as a 191E-AND3-CB10C-R self-protected combination reversing ECO starter. But to do so, the 100-C and 140M components must pass the extra 4,000 and 6,000 mechanical operation tests that the starter must pass. In certain circumstances, the users may be required to over-size the 100-C contactor or the 140M motor protection circuit breaker to get the required performance, and also meet the additional requirements. This starter comes with both disconnecting and non-disconnecting options. The Allen-Bradley 191E-AND3-CB10C-R combination reversing ECO starter comes with 3 mounting options that are DIN rail mounting, busbar mounting, and panel mounting. Each of these mounting options allow the users to use a metallic or non-metallic enclosure.
