The Allen-Bradley 2090-U3BB-DM44 control interface breakout board is a drive-mounted control interface breakout board for the Ultra 3000 drives that is designed to provide discrete wiring terminations for signals on the CN1 I/O connector. The 2090-U3BB-DM44 board is supplied as an assembly kit comprising a 44-pin control interface breakout board, a 2090-UxBB-Dxx DIN rail terminal block, a 2090-UxBC-Dxxxx connecting cable, and the mounting hardware required for field installation. The 2090-U3BB-DM44 board is compatible with the Allen Bradley Ultra 3000 2098-DSD-005, 2098-DSD-010, and 2098-DSD-020 drives, and an external user-supplied 5.2 Volts DC auxiliary power source (connected to the +X and -X terminals) is required to retain control power when the main power is removed from the drive.

The 2090-U3BB-DM44 breakout board has a 44-pin, male, D-sub connector with 44 signal terminals labelled 1 to 44 (except terminals +X and -X that are meant for connection to the 5.2 Volts DC external auxiliary power source), and 2 shielded terminals. This breakout board also has a cable shield termination pad with shrink-wrapped insulation, and it also has cover alignment holes for simplified wiring.  The 2090-U3BB-DM44 breakout board supports the termination of wires with a maximum diameter of 12.7 millimeters (0.5 inches) and a screw terminal wire size of 0.06 to 1.31 millimeters square (30 to 16 AWG). It has a factory recommended wire strip length of 25 to 63 millimeters (1 to 2.5 inches) and a terminal screw torque rating of 0.25 N-m (2.2 pounds on an inch). The  2090-U3BB-DM44 board has a storage temperature range of -55 to 85 degrees Celsius and approximate mounting dimensions of 65.4 x 50.9 x 21.8 millimeters (2.6 x 2 x 0.9 inches)
