The Allen-Bradley 40783-802-02 Single-Pole Contact Kit has been made for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 509 3-phase full-voltage NEMA starters. The 40783-802-02 Contact Kit belongs to the Bulletin 509 accessory family and the Bulletin 407 spare parts series and it is designed to be compatible with the Size 6, Series B and C 3-phase full-voltage starters. The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 509 voltage starters are built for the full voltage starting of multi-phase squirrel cage motors. They are designed to meet all the NEMA standard ratings and they are built around a space-saving blueprint with simplified wiring and service requirements that make them easy to integrate into systems and they offer Class 30, 20, 15, and 10 overload protection within the complete range of NEMA sizes. The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 509 starters are designed to be operated with standard push buttons, floats switches, pressure switches, thermostats switches, snap switches, limit switches, or any compatible 2-wire or 3-wire control devices.

The Bulletin 509 full voltage starters are also available with solid-state “Smart Motor Protectors” (SMPs) for additional protection and flexibility, as well as with eutectic alloy overload relays. The Allen-Bradley 40783-802-02 Contact Kit is supplied as a kit assembly that comes with 3 single-pole contacts (2 movable contacts and 1 fixed contact). All 3 contacts are required for wiring the Bulletin 509 full-voltage starters and it is compatible with the NEMA Size 6 starters. The 40783-802-02 Contact Kit can be used to replace a single pole in any of the following NEMA contactors and starters: the Size 6 Bulletin 500, Bulletin 505, Bulletin 509, and Bulletin 520 voltage starters, and the 3-pole, Size 6 Bulletin 540A and 500L starters. The 40783-802-02 Contactor Kit has a rated operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
