500L-CJD93

The Allen-Bradley 500L-CJD93 contactor is a 3-pole mechanically-held 500 series contactor. It comes in a NEMA Type 3R/4/12 industrial enclosure which is rainproof and dust tight. The peak voltage rating of the 500L-CJD93 contactor is 600 Volts AC. The coil voltage rating for the 500L-CJD93 contactor is 115 to 120 Volts AC. When used with tungsten lamp loads (with a maximum of 480 Volts AC line voltage, and 277 Volts AC load voltage), the contactor is rated for 60 Amps. When used for resistive heating, general applications, and discharge lighting, the contactor is rated for 60 Amps of continuous current. To ensure long-term reliable operation, ensure that the contactor is stored and operated in an environment where it will be protected from corrosive elements such as damage to contactor poles which can lead to malfunctioning.

Only trained technical personnel should be involved in the operation and maintenance of this contactor. The 500L-CJD93 contactor is a top-wired contactor of the mechanically-held variety. The use of the 500L-CJD93 contactor for applications involving motors and sign flashers is not recommended. The 500L-CJD93 contactor belongs to the Bulletin 500L series from Allen-Bradley which includes contactors in 2-pole, 3-pole, and 4-pole configurations. The 500L series contactors can be ordered in NEMA Type 1, NEMA 4/4X, and NEMA Type 3R/12 enclosures. To prevent electrical shock, the terminal section of the contactor should not be touched. The 500L-CJD93 contactor should not be used for applications that exceed the contact ratings. Overvoltage and incorrect voltage levels or types should not be applied to the coil on the 500L-CJD93 contactor. The use of the contactor in environments containing flammable gases should be avoided.
