The Allen-Bradley 592-EC3DC module is a solid-state overload relay module. It is available in an IP 20 rated enclosure. The operating temperature range for the relay is -20 to 40 degrees Celsius and the non-operating temperature range is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The operating humidity range is 5 to 95%. For damp or humid heat with steady state conditions, the maximum relative humidity is 92% at 40 degrees Celsius for up to 56 days. For damp heat with cyclic conditions, the maximum permitted relative humidity is 93% at 25 to 40 degrees Celsius for up to 21 cycles. The 592-EC3DC module is cooled through natural convection. Suitable clearances should be provided around the installed relay module to ensure the smooth flow of air which is required for the convection cooling of the device.

The 592-EC3DC module should be installed at altitudes that are less than or equal to 2000 meters or 6600 feet above sea level. The device is rated for Pollution Degree 3. The 592-EC3DC module supports DeviceNet communication at 125 kbps, 250 kbps, and 500 kbps data rates. The DeviceNet interface on the relay supports auto-baud rate identification, polled I/O messaging, and cyclic messaging. The 592-EC3DC module is an EC3 type relay with a 9 to 45 Amps current rating and a size of 0 to 2. The 592-EC3DC module is factory programmed for 3-phase operation but it can be easily configured for 1-phase operation. The operating voltage for the 592-EC3DC module is 250 Volts AC. The 592-EC3DC relay module requires 24 Volts DC voltage and consumes 3.2 Watts of power. The surge current for the device can go up to a maximum value of 3 Amps.
