The 592-EC3PC module is an Allen-Bradley 592 series solid-state overload relay module. Its current rating is 0.2 to 4 Amps. The contactor size on the 592-EC3PC module is 0 to 2. The 592-EC3PC module is a multi-function device that is microprocessor based. It is an ambient compensated time-delay phase loss-sensitive device with a trip rating set to 120% of the FLA and which supports automatic or manual reset modes. The overload reset level can be set to 1 to 100% of TCU. It includes a built-in DeviceNet port for device programming and the monitoring of the current, voltage, power, and the diagnostic parameters. This network port supports a wide range of data transfer speeds including 125, 250, and 500 kbps and several other features including auto baud rate detection, cyclic messaging, explicit messaging, and change of state messaging.
The 592-EC3PC module supports core balanced ground fault protection which is intended for providing protection to the connected equipment. The relay module can be configured for 0.1 to 25 seconds trip and a warning time delay and 0 to 250 seconds protection inhibit time. The relay is classified as a Class 1 device according to the UL 1053 standards. The relay module is a convection-cooled device. Therefore, suitable clearances should be provided around an installed 592-EC3PC relay module so that air can flow smoothly around the operating relay module. This will help to ensure an operating temperature range of -20 to 40 degrees Celsius, which is recommended by Allen Bradley. The maximum altitude recommended for the setup of the 592-EC3PC relay module is 2000 meters. Operating the relay outside the recommended environmental conditions can lead to performance degradation and device damage.
