The 592-EC5PC is a microprocessor-based electronic overload relay from Allen-Bradley. This is part of the E3 Plus series with integrated voltage monitoring capability as well as Overcurrent (Jam) Detection, stall detection, underload detection, and current imbalance. This overload relay has an adjustable current trip setting of 0.4 - 2.0 Amperes with a nominal voltage rating of 600V for NEMA and 690V / 1000V IEC operating voltage standards. The 592-EC5PC comes with a programmable memory that can be downloaded with simple logic routines composed of basic Boolean operands such as AND, OR, XOR, and NOT (Invert) as well as Timers, Counters, and output latches. These same operands may also be used to trigger outputs channels provided to this module to implement logic sequencing or interlocking function. This logic is downloaded via the DeviceLogix communication capability of the 592-EC5PC utilizing RSNetWorx for DeviceNet version 3.0 or later. The 592-EC5PC comes with embedded status indicators such as Network Status via the bi-color Green / Red indicator; Trip/Warn which is a bi-color Amber / Red color for depicting module warning and tripped status; Out A & B amber LED that energizes when contact outputs are commanded to close; IN 1-6 amber LED that illuminates when external input device delivers input signal. The 592-EC5PC has an operating temperature of -20…+55 °C (-4…+131 °F); Storage temperature of -40…+85 °C (-40…+185 °F); Operating vibration of 3G per IEC 68-2-6; Operating shock of 30G per IEC 68-2-27 standard and IP0 protection rating. The function blocks can be programmed through the use of standard Boolean operators such as XOR, AND, OR, and NOT and counters, latches, and timers are supported too. The Allen-Bradley 592-EC5PC Solid State Overload Relay features a remote trip function that helps external devices like vibration sensors to induce the E3 Plus Overload Relay to trip when necessary.
