|

The Allen-Bradley 802T-BT Electromechanical Limit Switch is a special type of motion detection and limit switch that is activated when the object or surface being monitored makes physical contact with a pushbutton assembly located on top of the switch. When the object or surface is not touching the 802T Limit Switch's pushbutton, a spring return mechanism holds it in its resting position.

The Allen-Bradley 802T-BT Electromechanical Limit Switch uses a mechanically-activated contact to detect a physical motion or change of state in the machinery where it is installed, and it works by opening and closing an electrical circuit to inform the control algorithm of the system about the event so the system can proceed accordingly. The Allen-Bradley 802T-BT Electromechanical Limit Switch does not use a lever-type action mechanism but it uses a specially-built push button to mechanically open or close the electrical circuits inside it. This special push button action mechanism is called the top push rod head and it is an ideal solution for applications and systems where other types of activation mechanisms will not fit properly. The users can select between plugin and non-plugin limit switches. The plugin limit switches can be easily detached from the wiring base for easy maintenance.

The Allen-Bradley 802T-BT Electromechanical Limit Switch has been designed and built for operation in harsh environmental conditions with high levels of humidity, such as applications controlling conveyor belts in the food industry, and applications that, due to the strict regulations regarding the cleanliness and sterilization of the jobsites, are often subjected to extensive cleaning operations with aggressive chemical agents. The Allen-Bradley 802T-BT Electromechanical Limit Switch can be installed in both horizontal and vertical positions, as long as the wiring is done properly in order to avoid water entering the internal wiring circuits. Regular maintenance operations for the electromechanical switching elements in this switch include cleaning, proper protection from water, frequent tightening of the connected wiring, and calibration of the operation mechanism against the monitored object or surface.
