The 836-A3E pressure controller is a pressure control device that controls the pressure levels of different equipment that works with pneumatic or hydraulic fluids. This specific device consists of a pressure switch that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. Pressure surges can cause damage to equipment and whole circuits in a system and these conditions can end up causing irreversible damages when they are not controlled right away. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 836-A3E pressure controller comes with a maximum line pressure rating of 500 PSI per line and a maximum occasional surge pressure rating of 600 PSI per line. These specifications must not be exceeded or the system will be jeopardized. Physically, this device comes with a screw that makes it able to control the adjustable operations rating and the adjustable differential rating.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 836-A3E pressure controller comes enclosed in a Type 7 & 9 and 4 & 13 enclosure that has been designed to operate in hazardous locations that contain gases and dust in significant amounts. This enclosure also comes with a special gasket that impedes the entrance of different particles that can impede the functioning of the device. These particles are usually dust and moisture particles that are commonly produced in industrial manufacturing environments. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 836-A3E pressure controller comes with internal bellows that are manufactured out of copper alloys. This material makes the bellows resistant to different environmental conditions. Some modifications can be added to this model so that it can be adapted to the application at hand more efficiently. These modifications can be additional or replacement contact blocks, an external manual reset, a single-pole setup, and pilot lights, among others.
