The 836-C10E controller is a pressure control device that is intended to operate in industrial applications where there is the need to monitor and control pressure levels due to application requirements or as protection against pressure peaks. This device has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and it has been included in the 836 series of pressure-sensing control devices. When used as a protection device, the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 836-C10E pressure control device can detect high pressure and low pressures to protect machines, application processes, and users. When the controller detects and avoids low pressure, the equipment is protected against the loss of coolants and lubrication. This pressure controller can be used in both pneumatic and hydraulic applications and it can maintain pressure levels between 2 different values.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 836-C10E pressure control device comes with a Type 7 & 9 and 4 & 13 rated enclosure. This enclosure has been designed to operate safely in hazardous locations. It comes equipped with a gasket and a 0-ring whose main function is to diminish and prevent the entrance of moisture and fluids in the enclosure. Along with this enclosure, this pressure control device is rated to operate in Class I (Groups C and D), Class II (Groups E, F, and G), and Class III rated environments. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 836-C10E pressure control device has an adjustable operating pressure range of 50 to 500 PSI and an adjustable differential pressure range of 12 to 115 PSI. It also operates with a maximum line pressure of 1300 PSI and a maximum occasional surge pressure of 1600 PSI.
