The Allen-Bradley 836-C2S Electromechanical Pressure Controller is part of the Bulletin 836 series of rugged and industrial-based pressure controllers. This pressure control series features compact designs and high-quality internal parts that provide device longevity and robust operations with frequent exposure to water, air, oil, non-corrosive liquids and vapors, and even some corrosive substances. The 836-C2S Pressure Controller, like every Bulletin 836 pressure controller, is designed to detect, monitor, and control the operating pressure levels of many hydraulic or pneumatic applications such as liquid level control, compressed air monitor systems (CAMS), vacuum transfer systems, low-pressure alert, high-pressure alert, and low and high-pressure monitoring applications. The 836-C2S Pressure Controller has a standard adjustable differential pressure range that is adjustable from 0.4 to 6 PSI, and an adjustable operating pressure rating of up to 10 PSI.

The 836-C2S Electromechanical Pressure Controller also has a maximum line pressure rating of 65 PSI and an occasional surge rating of 75 PSI. The 836-C2S Pressure Controller is supplied with the standard single-pole switch with double-throw, snap-action contacts that can be wired to open or close in response to increasing or decreasing pressure conditions. Each snap-action contact has a non-inductive current rating of 3.0 Amps at 600 Volts AC and a control circuit rating of 24 to 600 Volts AC. The 836-C2S Pressure Controller has a NEMA Type 4X enclosure design and a nameplate on the front panel that contains the pressure and electrical rating of the controller. The 836-C2S Pressure Controller has a repeated accuracy rating of -/+0.5% and is recommended for use within 30 to 80% of the total operation range for maximum operating life.
