The 836-C3JX171 assembly is an Allen-Bradley 836 Pressure Controls assembly. It is housed inside a Type 7 & 9 and 4 & 13 combined metallic aluminum enclosure. It is designed for industrial use to control, regulate, and detect pressure. The pressure control unit can be used in air compressors, high pressure alert systems, liquid level control, and vacuum transfer systems. It is built out of high quality material and it is resistant to water sprays, corrosive gas and vapors, and non-corrosive liquids. The 836-C3JX171 pressure controller has external bellows made of copper alloy. The pressure controller is designed to work with both open and closed electrical circuits. The system pressure is connected to the controller at the pressure connection point and it is then applied directly to the bellows. When the pressure rises, the bellows apply a force on the main spring. This causes the motion of the contact block and a trip. It can be easily mounted using a bracket on the bottom.
The Allen-Bradley 836 Pressure Controls 836-C3JX171 pressure controller assembly is certified with the UL, CE, and SA standard ratings. It meets the UL 508, UL 698, and other industrial compliances. The 836-C3JX171 pressure controller can handle pressure OF up to 30 PSI and an adjustable differential pressure of 0.4 PSI. It can handle a maximum line pressure of 80 PSI. The front side of the pressure control assembly has a trip indicating scale that shows the current PSI level during operation. The 836-C3JX171 pressure controller has a self lifting pressure plate terminal that can be adjusted by using a Phillips head screw. The contacts can be clearly seen from the outside with the clear contact inspection cover on the front of the pressure controller.
