The 836-C4E pressure controller is an Allen-Bradley electromechanical pressure controller. It is part of the 836 Pressure Controls series. This industrial pressure controller comes with an external set of copper alloy bellows and it is enclosed inside a Type 7 & 9, 4 & 13 combined metallic aluminum enclosure. The 836-C4E pressure controller is able to take a maximum line pressure of up to 175 PSI. It is a Style C controller variant. It supports a wide range of pressure levels. It has adjustable operating and differential pressure ranges and it comes with a quarter-inch NPTF internal pipe connector, and a three-eighths-inch NPSF internal pipe connector. This pressure controller assembly is mostly used with liquid level control, vacuum systems, and air compressor applications. The unit is certified with the UL, CE, and SA standards. The operating temperature range should be set between -30 and 66 degrees Celsius. When not in use, the 836-C4E pressure controller can be stored between -30 and 93 degrees Celsius.
The Allen-Bradley 836-C4E pressure controller features snap action contact operation. The contact blocks are single-pole and double-throw and they can be easily wired to open or close with an increase or decrease in pressure. The non-inductive current ratings for the pressure controller are 5 Amps at 240 Volts, and 3 Amps at 600 Volts. The front side of the 836-C4E pressure controller has a finger-safe contact block shield that meets the IEC and CSA standards. Along with the block, a self-lifting pressure plate terminal is present. A trip indicating scale is also included to show the current pressure in PSI. The 836-C4E pressure controller can be easily mounted by using a mounting bracket. The operators can easily adjust the operating pressure range by using the adjustment screw on the front side of the pressure controller.
