The controller uses a ¼-inch NPT female pipe connector. It supports a maximum line pressure and occasional surge pressure up to 65 PSI. The surge pressure is the maximum pressure that can be applied to the actuator. Surges or transients may occur during the startup and shutdown of the system. 

 

The Allen-Bradley 836 series 836T-T260JX40 pressure controller uses a ⅜-inch NPT female pipe connector for the piston. The piston unit has an adjustable operating pressure range. The 836T-T260JX40 controller can be used with both open and closed circuits and it can respond to both pneumatic or hydraulic pressure. When pressure is applied to the actuator, it exerts force on the main spring.
