The Allen-Bradley 836T-T352E Electromechanical Pressure Switch is a pressure control mechanism which operates by opening and closing electrical circuits connected to a pair of SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw) contacts in it. When the pressure switch senses that the setpoint pressure value is present in its input port, it automatically changes the electrical status of the contacts. It is part of the 836 Pressure Controls series.

The Allen-Bradley 836T-T352E Electromechanical Pressure Switch is used for the constant monitoring of the pneumatic or hydraulic pressure in an industrial application, such as a water sump, a water tank, or in the discharge of a water pump. Two different varieties of actuators are available for use with the Allen-Bradley 836T-T352E Electromechanical Pressure Switch: a regular type of copper alloy bellows or a piston type of actuator. Both actuators can be employed for applications measuring the pressure of natural gas, oil, or non-corrosive liquids. Water or air pressure should not be applied to the piston-type pressure switch actuators. No matter what operating pressure medium being utilized, the principle of operation remains the same: the pressure switch will sense pressure changes on its input port, which will in turn move a set of mechanical levers and springs designed for operating the electrical contacts at a specified, user-configurable setting.
The Allen-Bradley 836T-T352E Electromechanical Pressure Switch has been designed and manufactured to last and it features a metal enclosure that is secured with screws that create oil-tight isolation from external contaminants and atmospheric conditions. The recommended temperature range for the operation of the Allen-Bradley 836T-T352E Electromechanical Pressure Switch is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and the recommended relative humidity range is from about 5% to 95% (non–condensing). Both indoor and outdoor installations and applications for this pressure switch is allowed if regular maintenance schedules are implemented. Two electrical contacts of the single pole double throw type, also known as the SPDT type, come from the factory on the switch, and one is in the normally closed (NC) configuration while the other is in the normally open (NO) configuration.
