The Allen-Bradley 193-EC1AD relay is an electronic motor protection overload relay that is used for protecting squirrel-cage induction motors. This 193-EC1AD overload relay is factory-programmed for 3-phase operation. However, it can also be switched to single-phase operation and this is achieved by accessing and switching to the single-phase parameter or from the default 3-phase parameter. The Allen-Bradley 193-EC1AD relay allows the users to monitor the information from different parameters via the DeviceNet network. When this 193-EC1AD overload relay is not powered on, its trip relay contact remains open. However, the trip relay contact closes within 2 to 35 seconds after powering the overload relay on and when there are no trip conditions. In addition to this trip relay, the Allen-Bradley 193-EC1AD relay also comes with various inputs and outputs.
The users can monitor the status of each output and input over the DeviceNet network, via Device Status Parameter 21 or in any of the output assemblies. They can also control the outputs over the network by using any of the output assemblies. The Allen-Bradley 193-EC1AD relay provides extra flexibility with the capability to perform certain control functions with its inputs and outputs via DeviceLogix. The inputs of the 193-EC1AD overload protection relay can be configured independently for trip reset, 2-speed, remote trip, and normal operation. When the users buy the 193-EC1AD overload relay, they must keep it in its shipping container before its installation. If a long time passes before this overload relay will be used, it should be stored under the proper conditions. The Allen-Bradley 193-EC1AD overload protection relay should be stored in a clean and dry location, with an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity range should be between 0 and 95%.
