The Allen-Bradley 193-EC1CB relay device is a solid-state overload protection relay that is used for industrial motor protection applications. This overload protection relay alerts the users in case of an imminent overload trip. The 193-EC1CB overload protection relay sets a thermal warning bit in the thermal status. This status happens when the calculated thermal capacity percentage surpasses the set thermal warning level. The Allen-Bradley 193-EC1CB overload relay comes with LED status indicators. These indicators are the network status indicator, the trip indicator, the Output A and B indicators, and the indicators for inputs 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the Allen-Bradley 193-EC1CB solid-state relay, and they illuminate in different colors to give different status updates.
The network status indicator illuminates in red or green to display the status of the network connection. The trip indicator flashes in a sequence of amber or red when it is sending out a trip warning. The flash pattern on the trip indicator is followed by a pause, and this identifies the specific warning it is giving. The Output A and B LED indicators illuminate amber after the users command the output contacts to be closed. The indicators for inputs 1 to 4 illuminate in amber after closing the user-connected device contact. Activating the test enable function opens the trip relay contact opens if the Allen-Bradley 193-EC1CB overload protection relay is not in a tripped state and the reset/test button is pressed. If the relay has a firmware revision number (FRN) of 2.000 and above, the users must press the reset/test button for at least 2 seconds if they want to trigger the test function. The trip relay contact normally closes if the Allen-Bradley 193-EC1CB overload protection relay is in a tripped state, if the reset button is pressed, or if the cause of the trip is not preset.
