The 193-EC1DD relay is an overload protection relay that is designed and made by Allen-Bradley. This relay provides protection for industrial automation systems. It has a maximum switching voltage rating of 600 Volts, and a contact current rating of 5 Amps. The overload protection relay uses a DeviceNet module to find and regulate trip conditions by monitoring the signals in the overload protection relay. The 193-EC1DD overload protection relay by Allen-Bradley is categorized as a Group 2 slave only device, which supports the following functions: polled I/O messaging, UCMM (unconnected message manager) messages, explicit messaging, and the cyclic or change-of-state function.

 

The Allen-Bradley 193-EC1DD overload protection relay has inputs that allow the users to connect different devices. These devices include limit switches, contactor and disconnect auxiliary contacts, pilot devices, and float switches. The users can monitor all the inputs through the network and then map them into the input image table of the controller. The inputs are powered by a DeviceNet network connection. The isers can control the relay contact output via the DeviceLogix or network function blocks. The relay contacts perform tasks like contactor operation. The 193-EC1DD overload protection relay comes with a reset/test button. This button is found on the front the overload protection relay. When the reset/test button is pressed, the trip relay contact closes if the 193-EC1DD overload protection is in an tripped state. If the reset/test button is pressed and held for more than 2 seconds, the trip relay contact opens as long as the 193-EC1DD overload protection relay is in an un-tripped state.
